He did not only attended the software training workshop and progress meetings, he also initiated meetings to invite ideas for getting the most positive effects and impacts from the computerization. His enthusiasm was deeply realized by his colleagues.
2. Cooperation of department heads --
It is common for corporations adopting new system to perform a parallel run for a long period of time. However, Dong Sheng Footwear has gone through a relatively short parallel run period before the factory was fully adapted to the ERP system. The departmental heads had much contribution to such a success. They have been proactively familiarized themselves with the new system and picked up the knowledge in ERP. As such, they were able to manage the entire function of the system and ensured a smooth transition from the old system to the new one. In addition to this, they are able to offer timely assistance to all the staffs under their supervision.
3. Involvement of the entire corporation --
During the consultation and training period, the employees have to work overtime to meet the standard of the training and their department head had demanded for a standard of proficiency demonstrated.
